THE FURUEW IS NOW: UNDERSTANDING GLOBAL DIVERSITY
In the new millennium America has truly become a melting pot. But many of us still believe that our country is land of “Ozzie& Harriet,” “The Brady Bunch” or even “Good Times”. The United States has in fact become a country where the local high school jock could have a name like Javier, Avinish or Obama, and the campus sweetheart might easily be Bala, Mih-ho or Liya. This workshop will provide participants with a new confidence about the global age that we’re living in. Methods will be introduced that will help groups find a common ground with people from different backgrounds or who have different points of view.
